The Laundromat

Mr Glinda walks the lanes of old Kyoto, singing inappropriate songs, to show you the way to the laundromat.
# Back in Nagasaki, where the men all chew tobaccy
And the women wicky-wacky- woo
Fujiyama, gotcha mama
Doo dedoo da dedoo
Doo dedoo da dedoo
Doo dedoo da dedoo
Doo dedoo da dedoo
Back in Nagasaki, where the men all chew tobaccy
And the women wicky-wacky- woo #
Doo dedoo da dedoo #
(continues to sing and hum)
There’s our lovely laundrette –
Washateria.
What’s down here?
Oh, that’ll do.

Glinda's Travels

We're not in Kansas anymore! Glinda and Mr Glinda had our first day in Tokyo. We arrived at our hard-to-find hotel about 2.30am the night before. Tokyo is huge, puzzling and very buzzy. Challenging but fun. We have negotiated the metro system -the trains and tracks are owned by 5 or more different companies, so to use the Seica card on the JR Yamanote line can get a little tricky, especially when hundreds of very determined people are headed staight at you! Happily, one on one the people here are patient and helpful. Luckily Glinda knows the magic words "sumi masen", "kudasai" and "arigato gozaimasu." Otherwise we'd be up shitsu creeko.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road
DOROTHY
But, how do I start for Emerald City?
GLINDA
It's always best to start at the beginning
-- and all you do is follow the Yellow Brick
Road.
